About A1 Cash and Carry

Founded in 1998 by Amjad Parvaiz, A1 Cash and Carry began as a part-time business operating out of a home garage, selling shopping bags to local businesses. By listening to customers and adding the products and services they needed, A1 grew its business around independent restaurants and foodservice operators.

Today, A1 Cash and Carry is a Canadian-founded and operated foodservice wholesaler, stocking more than 10,000 products across more than 700,000 sq. ft. and a growing network of 10 locations: A1 Resto Dépôt Montréal Saint-Laurent, Barrie, Burlington, Kitchener, London, Mississauga Kennedy (Head Office), Mississauga Torbram, Niagara Falls, Toronto Etobicoke, and Toronto North York. Our Montréal Saint-Laurent location is opening Fall 2026.

A1 Cash and Carry is a distributor and wholesaler of restaurant equipment, smallwares, janitorial supplies, food packaging, proteins, produce, dairy, frozen foods, bulk grocery, and beverages.

We fulfil more than 3,000 orders each day through our growing network of cash-and-carry stores, ecommerce, and delivery services. As we expand into new markets, we remain focused on competitive wholesale pricing, practical selection, reliable supply, and service that helps our customers run their businesses.

Free Delivery

For eligible A1 Local Bulk Delivery orders in the GTA, enjoy free delivery on orders over $550. Orders of $550 or less are subject to a $45 delivery fee.

Our Growth

Since 1998, A1 Cash and Carry has grown significantly, earning recognition among Canada's fastest-growing companies through the Growth 500/Growth List.

In 2011, A1 opened its first large-scale cash-and-carry location in Mississauga, with commercial coolers and freezers designed to serve the needs of restaurants and foodservice businesses.

In 2014, A1 opened its second location in Toronto Etobicoke, an express location with 20,000 sq. ft.

In 2016, the Mississauga operation moved two buildings south to a new 100,000 sq. ft. facility. Two years later, it expanded to 150,000 sq. ft., adding restaurant equipment, smallwares, and protein categories.

In 2017, A1 opened its third location in London, Ontario. In 2020, A1 implemented SAP and a warehouse management system to improve inventory management and replenishment.

In early 2021, A1 launched its ecommerce website, expanding online ordering and delivery to new regions.

On July 1, 2021, A1 opened its fourth location in Toronto North York, with 65,000 sq. ft. of cash-and-carry space and more than 7,500 products in stock. In 2022, A1 opened its fifth location in Kitchener, serving both businesses and the public. In December 2022, A1 opened its sixth location, Mississauga Torbram.

More recently, A1 has expanded beyond its Ontario roots, growing its ecommerce capabilities to serve customers across Canada and preparing for the next stage of national growth. In 2026, A1 is expanding into Quebec with the launch of A1 Resto Dépôt Montréal Saint-Laurent, while continuing to invest in ecommerce, delivery, and new markets across the country.
